hi i am looking for reference articles re leaving sets cool before dispatch. i want to implement a qip. it says this in the standards etc but nothing referenced to back the statement up. thanks

Hi Niamhoc,
The science behind cooling before despatched is to;-
1) prevent condensation when hot surfaces come in contact with cold surface
2) avoiding “strike-through” from occuring due to condensation hence potentially can compromise sterility
From occupational health and safety;-
1) to prevent hazard of scalding from handling hot items
2) to prevent potential work cover
