Dear Al jabri.

In the first: If we are speaking about textile, like first packaging material you should know that all textile materials are produce textile dust that can be cause of non infections(allergic) inflammation of surgical wound. So that’s why you cannot use textile materials like main packaging material. You can use only materials that certificated on ISO 11607.
In the second: All work that you do in CSSD is cost money. If expiry date will be expired all work of you, your staff, electricity, water, drain, packaging materials e.t.c. will be dropped in toilet. Every time instrument must be use with the patient. IMHO: If you have special sets that use one or two time in year – You should use packaging materials with longer time of keep safe.
If you receive packaging materials with expiry date you should use all ordinary procedure (cleaning, disinfection, packaging, sterilization).

Hope it’s help.

dear Al Jabri.
I have a copy of ISO 11607, but on Russian language. Maybee you can find it in English or Arabic. (OK. Google!) Unfortunately I have no articles about textile dust like cause of inflammation. I will try to find it.
